Tobi Amusan wins 100m hurdles final and breaks world record in the process

Nigerian athlete Tobi Amusan got to be the first Nigerian ever to win gold at the World Sports Championships after racing racing dashing racing to a shocking world record time of 12.06s.

Amusan got to be the first Nigerian athlete to ever set a World Record in any event and It'll too be the first time the Nigerian anthem would be played amid award presentation as the winner of an event which i will say is an honour for Nigeria.

Its not the first time Amusan would break the record on the night, progressing on her 12.12s within the semi-final. It was already set by America’s Kendra Harrison’s at 12.20s.

Her results in Tokyo last year was disappointing though she finished fourth in the race this achievement is going to be like a come back for her.

She was awarded a $100,000 prize money.
